The Mini Moke is back – and it’s now a tiny electric off-roader

Mini Moke is the iconic off-road classic Mini Moke. It’s back and now it’s electric.

The Moke was originally designed by BMC in 1960s as a military vehicle. It became a huge success as an affordable, lightweight off-roader. Original production continued at different locations around the world until the early 1990s.

Moke EV starts at PS29,150, including tax. It will be available in both right- or left-hand drive. It measures 3225mm in length by 1660mm in width, and has 180mm of ground clearance.

A 33kW (44bhp), 6.5sec 0-34mph speed and a top speed 62mph are the results of the motor.

Moke International has not yet revealed the exact dimensions of the battery. However, it claims a range of 89 miles and a charging time of approximately four hours using a Type 2 port.

The machine is now available for purchase. Customers in the UK will receive their first orders in June. Moke International has confirmed that the first UK customer is Beaverbrook in Surrey. They will use the machine to transport guests around.

The firm will open a “Casa Moke” experience centre in Saint-Tropez as part of its plan to “become a world-famous beach lifestyle brand.” Customers of Bo-House real estate firm will have the opportunity to subscribe to the Moke for a monthly fee.
